Formation of components of civic competence in higher education students: from the experience of working in international projects

Abstract

The relevance of the article is due to the need to modernise approaches to the formation of civic competence in future teachers in the process of professional training, since the formation of a future citizen during the war and in the post-war reconstruction depends on the level of its formation and the ability to form the foundations of this competence in primary school students.
The article highlights the results of studying domestic and foreign experience in the formation of civic competence in higher education students, which is grouped into the following areas: the basics of democratic citizenship and human rights, methodological guidelines for their formation in pupils and students; training of future primary school teachers in various aspects of civic education – national-patriotic, aesthetic and legal; formation of individual components of civic competence in students, as well as their preparation for the formation of the foundations of this competence in primary school students.
These developments have become an important source of using their positive ideas and have been combined with European approaches and national peculiarities of professional training of future primary school teachers in international projects: The Swiss-Ukrainian DOCCU "Development of Civic Competences in Ukraine", "Implementation of Democratic Values in the Process of Primary School Teacher Training in Ukraine and Norway".
On the example of natural science disciplines and the relevant professional methodology, is illustrated the formation of the components of civic competence (knowledge and their critical understanding, attitudes, values, skills and abilities) in students who have speciality 013 "Primary Education", using the tools of international partners, based on interactive interaction. The expediency of using such teaching technologies in professional training as: "end-to-end learning", "participatory learning", "immersion, living from the inside", which was an innovative idea of international projects.
