The development of information technology has significantly affected all spheres of life,
including education. The use of mobile applications in science education opens up new opportunities for students and teachers, contributing to a more interactive and effective learning process. However, the successful implementation of such technologies requires special training of teachers. The purpose of this article is to study the training of science teachers to create and use mobile applications in the educational process. The article analyzes current trends in the use of mobile applications in education, the importance of teacher training, practical aspects of creating mobile applications, the role of teachers in their implementation, as well as the challenges and prospects of this process.
Current research shows that using mobile applications for formative assessment and active learning has significant benefits, such as increased student engagement and participation. However, some challenges were also identified, including insufficient resources and unstable network connectivity.
Teacher training is critical to the effective use of mobile applications. This includes professional development, technical support, development of pedagogical methods and integration of mobile applications into the educational process. The professional development of teachers should include trainings, seminars and professional development courses that allow you to familiarize yourself with the latest developments and gain practical skills in using mobile applications.
Practical aspects of creating mobile applications include the development of interactive learning materials, video lessons, virtual laboratories and other resources that promote deep learning. An important aspect is testing applications at various stages of development to ensure their quality and usability. The integration of mobile applications into the educational process allows students to be actively involved in learning, explore natural phenomena in an interactive way, and apply knowledge in practice.
Challenges associated with the use of mobile applications include technical difficulties, the need to constantly update the knowledge of subject teachers and ensure equal access to new information technologies for all students. However, taking into account these challenges, mobile applications have great potential for improving the quality of education and achieving high results in the study of natural sciences. It is important to provide teachers with the necessary knowledge, resources and support to effectively use mobile applications, which will contribute to increasing student motivation and interest in learning.
